5th Annual!
North Fork Bluegrass & Roots Music Festival
June 13th, 14th & 15th, 2008
Hotchkiss, Colorado
There is plenty of "rough" camping in the fairgrounds. Since there are no designated "sites", Camping is sold per person. We do not charge for vehicles. The elevation is "only" 5,350 feet, - -which means warm days and balmy nights for pickin'! Campers may arrive as early as Thursday afternoon, checkout on Monday. (We keep our camping prices reasonable, so there is no break for a partial stay.) No Pets -- There are RV Parks nearby that welcome you and your pooch - Click here for special pet accommodations. Tent/Car/Truck Campers -- We recommend camping in the trees in bottomland area at the south end of the Fairgrounds (straight ahead as you enter). You can keep your car with you. Mountain bikes would be handy for getting around. Camping in the grass on the ballfields OK, but double check with us to make sure we remembered to get the sprinklers turned off!
Trailers & RV's - There are plenty of open areas and there are shady spots along the edges if you get here early enough! Please don't try to go down into the bottom land tree camping -- there are rough dips caused by runoff -- if it rains you will get stuck and block the access.
Big Rigs: Big Rigs - the covered Equine Event Center is a huge covered arena with great shade and cool breezes. -- The first 10 or so rigs who are willing to stagger on the west side for use as an emergency weather block can plug into the 110 located there. We will keep a back up stage set up for severe weather emergency and your rigs can be a huge help. The Equine Event Center is way around to your right as you enter the campground.
Camping pass - You must have a camping wristband to be in the Campground after midnight!
Campfires in pre-existing fire pits only please! Bring your own firewood.
Stack leftover wood against trees when you leave so we can get through with mowing equipment.
No Fires if Fire Ban in effect. Thank you!
Showers available on site, two more (luxury!) just to the east at the UltraMat - they also have coffee and wireless internet access.
