The town of Hotchkiss is located 9 miles southwest of Paonia and 19 miles east of Delta "where the desert meets the mountains" on Colorado's Western Slope -- Elevation 5,350 feet. We are about halfway between Aspen and Telluride. So, if you are planning on attendng the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, come a week early and catch both festivals!

From the east, we recommend I-70 to Glenwood Springs, then the Scenic Hwy 133 thru Carbondale, past Redstone, past Marble, over McClure Pass (easy), through Somerset, past Paonia and on to Hotchkiss.
We don't recommend the Map Quest suggestion to come south from Grand Junction to Delta - (not very scenic)

From south of Denver Metro or Colorado Springs/Pueblo, try coming over to Gunnison and the Scenic Sapinero Resevoir / Black Canyon road to Crawford and on in to Hotchkiss.

From the southwest, we reccommend one of the scenic routes that includes the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Telluride, Ridgeway, etc..

From the west, we reccommend I-70 to Grand Junction, south to Delta, and east on 92 to Hotchkiss -- OR -- for a Scenic Byway, come across the top of the Grand Mesa thru Cedaredge.
